Gas hoses
Gas hoses are divided into high-pressure hoses with an operating pressure of several hundred bars (safety factor should be at least 1:4) and low-pressure hoses with an operating pressure of up to several dozen bars.
The high-pressure solutions are used in industrial, medical and laboratory systems for gases, such as hydrogen, oxygen, helium, carbon dioxide, etc. and different types of mixtures.
Low-pressure hoses are used as general-purpose industrial hoses, for example for loading operations (LPG, natural gas), in accordance with EN 1762, as well as for gas welding, metal cutting and related activities in accordance with EN 559.
In order to select an appropriate gas hose, the following should be taken into consideration: gas type, pressure, temperature and gas permeability. A particular hose must not be used for any gas/medium other than what it was designed for by its manufacturer. Make sure to review its data sheet characteristics, internal/external layer material and chemical resistance in the chemical resistance table.
