The hose is designed to absorb pressure surges by swelling rather than stretching. This means increasing the diameter under pressure and reducing friction-induced losses.
The rubber compound has an additional UV barrier to prevent ultraviolet damage to the rubber. It is capable of working with most common chemicals and low-aromatic oil products.
